It’s true. The tall are blessed. They are happier, and they earn more and tend to occupy leadership positions more often than the rest. What is it about tall that we like to celebrate?
I have great hair; therefore I am tall.
Yes?
Hah, I meant in regard to the article.
You don’t need to be tall to have great hair ;)
Lol, I like the part that says smart short people DO EXIST. Hahaha, that got me laughing. Well that’s nice to hear tall people are living happy lives, I just hope they can share the love with shorter people.
Oh, and j88, I like your comment. Spoken like a true philosopher! But just to play devil’s advocate; smoking dosen’t cause lung cancer, it’s only strong corelated. And HIV is only strongly correlated with AIDS. :P
Yes, but the causation has essentially been proven in those cases.
While the article might be written somewhat tongue in cheek, it does have a hint of nastiness to it.
5’4 and always happy thanks
I have to agree it does help being tall in the business world. Not slandering shorter people, but other people tend to look up and listen a lot more I’ve noticed when there is someone who is a lot taller doing a presentation for example.
I’m 6ft 7
The happiness of being tall, I shall keep it brief, I could just sink my analytical teeth into this forever.
The trouble is both words ‘tall’ and ‘happy’ are actually difficult to quantify. Presumably to be tall or big in a scientific or measurable sense, even in a remotely philosophical way, needs you to take all the things in existence and put yourself on the scale of totality. I’m not sure anyone can say any person is ‘tall’ from this approach!
Don’t get me started on the nature of happiness, lol. So I hope my philosophical exercise has demomstrated since none of us a truly ‘tall’ from the perspective of totality, either none of us can be happy or we can all be happy, every tiny human being on earth.
Any thoughts?
