Chat won't open

The last 2 nights the chat window wouldn’t open. It would say “can’t find that web page – you don’t have the CF protocol installed”. So I finally upgraded from IE 6 to 8. And it still doesn’t work.

Does the chat require a Google Chrome tool? And if so, where do I find that?

Just use Firefox as your web browser, it’s safe, works on more pages than IE and also more secure security wise. Don’t use Chrome as there’s reports that Google automatically turn on data collection. www.firefox.com

Had you previously installed the Google Chrome Frame plugin that the chatroom had suggested to you?

The error message you are receiving might have something to do with Google Chrome Frame not being re-installed after the update to IE8. Try re-installing it from this page and seeing if you still receive the error message.

I had the same problem, it only just started the other day mind you.

I installed Firefox and it now works fine. The download does not take too long and it is installed in seconds!!

Thanks to UKBIGZ for the advice also!!
