WHAT WOULD YOU THINK IF YOU SAW A GIRL WHO WAS 6FT1 WEARING HIGH HEELS....
BEING TALL AS A GUY ITS A GREAT THING, BUT FOR A GIRL...HHHHMM... AM 6FT1 AND DO I HAVE TROUBLE ACCEPTING MY HEIGHT....
DOES BEING TALL EVEN ATTRACT MEN...I MEAN I DO GET MAN WHO TALK TO ME BUT AM LIKE HEEELLLOOOO AM TALLER THAN YOU...
MY HEIGHT IS GETTING IN THE WAY OF MY LOVE LIFE AND ME REALLY LIVING..I ALWAYS WORRY/PANIC ABOUT MY HEIGHT
FOR EXAMPLE I HAVE NENVER BEEN TO A CLUB BECAUSE :
1- you cant wear a dress with flat shoes, so i would have to wear high heels to make myself look more giantic
2- is the roof high enough, i have been to resturants and i wore heels and the roof wasnt even high enough for me
3- who is going to want to dance with me, and it will be odd
4- EVERYONE WILL BE LOOKING AT ME!!!!!!!!
as for my love life… well man find it a turn off that i moan about my height… but its soooooo hard… in my whole life i own one pair of jeans that are long enough..do you know how hard it is to find 38inch jeans…lol.. you know what i could go on and on and on.. about my height…
any advice of accepting it since there is nothing i can do about it!
Welcome apple. I am not sure that you will be able to get advice from other females on this forum seeing as the female members are few and far between, but I will do my best as a male :P
While your height might be an obstacle for you, I am sure that there are men out there who would be attracted to it (just beware of those who may fetishise you for it). I would assume that some tall men may find it more compatible to be with someone close to their own height so that they are not constantly needing to bend down.
I have a female cousin who is a little over 6 foot, and I think she seems to do fine. In fact, it was almost annoying to hear my younger brothers friends asking about our ‘hot cousin’ at my 21st earlier this year!
As you already mentioned, there is nothing you can do to change your height. So yes, the easiest thing to do is to accept it and be proud of who you are. I believe that there is a movement of taller women who call themselves ‘glamazons’ (I don’t know if it always refers to taller women or not). But try doing a search for glamazon, amazon, or even female basketball forums and they may have a lot more advice from women in your situation.
Go to a club! Have some fun. You never know who will be around. People are always keen for a dance. The key is to relax and not try and force anything. The guys who are attracted to your stature will come to you. Who knows? Maybe your height will only be a secondary thing they notice?
And about point number 4, yes people will look at you, but we are all stared at for some reason or another in life. Don’t feel paranoid and self conscious about it, it is much better than being ignored. Just relax, be confident and smile a lot.
Sorry this was such a long rambling reply, but I hope some of it made sense and is of some help.
If you want to wear heels wear them. Its a little awkward to have to look up to a woman but once you get used to the initial shock its no big deal. I think it is even more of a ego killer for a guy to realize when the shoes come off you are still taller than him.
I guess there are a lot of guys who are taller than you here and I am sure a lot of girls do feel the same (but they have not discovered this website yet :) )
Just try to live your life as you want and don’t worry about others!
I hope tall guys here can advice you more than a little guy like me (even if they don’t have the problem of heels…lol)

I know quite a few girls over 6ft and a good bit of them don’t have any trouble finding guys or anything.
My girl friend is 6’6 and she wears 4” heals most of the time when we go out. It doesn’t bother me a bit and I enjoy looking at those long legs.
My cousin is 6’3 and she has always been concerned about wearing heals more then 2” high because of her height. Now she is married to a guy who is only 5’6 and seems to be wearing heals more than she ever did when she was single.
My advice is to forget about your height and try to have a good time with life and relax.

Anyways, i think tall chicks shouldnt be so ashamed of their heights. That stuff will never get in the way of a relationship if ur partner if they truely care about you and love you.
The tallest woman in Britain is about 7’ tall and she’s married to a guy who is 6’ tall. But they’ve happily been married for years and go out in public all the time. If they can do it bet u could easily pull it off too.
And on an off note…what restaurants have ceilings that are less than 6’1”? O_o
I just meant that some guys might have a giantess fetish and not see her as a human, but more of an object for fantasy.

You should check out the web site Tall Talk. There are a lot of women that belong to that discussion forum that are 6’-3” and over. You might find some answere there since most of them have had the same concerns as you.
well thank you guys for your advice, it does help, but i think yer i should just live life and work with my height.
but i sort of had a theory in my head, tha if i was around tall people or went out with tall people then i would feel better about myself. i was prepared to move countries, but reading some of the comments made me realise its not about where you are, or who you are surrounded by, if i not confident with my height, then it still matters, but i still slightly think being around tall people would help a bit.
But as for the restaurent, well its restaurent/bar. Its not too posh andvi was wearing about 4inch heels and i am 6.1 so i just about touched the roof.

and hey tallguy7387, i would really like to ask where does your girlfriend get clothing such as jeans and trousers. That is my MAIN problem.
i have been looking for manufacturers to make me 38 inch jeans and trousers but not been really able to find any.

Have you consulted a tailor about jeans and trousers? It might cost a bit extra, but I guess you can have them tailored exactly how you would like them. I’m sure if you got them done in bulk the price wouldn’t be too bad. Or, you could visit a south-east asian country on your next holiday and get them made there ;)

Hi apple, I just joined this forum but I will offer some advice.
All the girls in my family (except one) are at least 6 foot tall and they all wear high heeled shoes whenever they like. They learned long ago that people will stare at you and make stupid comments, whether you are 6 foot tall or 5’5”, because people are dumb that way. You only have one life to live, so you might as well enjoy it and not let people who don’t even know you restrict you from wearing what you like or going where you want. Be proud, stand tall, and do whatever makes you happy.
I’m 6’5” and I would absolutely love to go out with a girl who is my height or even taller. The visual alone would be worth it.

My last girlfriend was 6ft4 and she wore heels, it almost put her at eye level too. Do not let society choose the way you live your life. As the people above me have stated you are only here once, so live “your” life to the fullest.

When i went for modelling casting, i did not wear heels because i thought i woul be towering everyone, but i was actually fit in and i have realised being around tall people, or going out with tal people does help. I do not know a lot of tall people so that bit sucks…I think i need someone to just kick up the backside and say,you know what, this is you, accept it!
