Hi everyone, I am the dad of a guy who is 6’ 4” and takes a size 14 shoe. For years he has had problems buying shoes, especially modern leisure shoes as he is only 24.
I am not going to insult your intelligence and pretend to be a consumer who has just ‘found’ a new website but will tell you the truth.
As a consequence of my son’s genuine difficulty in finding suitable footwear, we have decided to set up our own website aimed at people with size 13+ feet who are interested in the skateshoe type of footwear such as DC, Vans and Globe. I really do not want to upset the moderators and so will not promote our website here but should you wish to visit our site, please contact us
Thank you, Graham

Hello Graham…. I am curious as to how you can be the “dad” of a 24 year old when your profile clearly says that you are 14?
Well to be honest I think that there are plenty of big shoe sites on the net already. If you need help finding some then let me know but I’m pretty sure there are at least a hundred. And there probably are several that specialize in skate wear. I know Vans lets you order direct up size 16 I think. DC lets you order direct up to 14 i thought. I dont really wear those brands so if I’m wrong then there you go.
Wow, what a fantastic time to start an online business out of the home, in the middle of a world wide economic recession. That’s what I call good business! ![]()
Justjeff – fair one. I noticed that but couldn’t for the life of me work out how to change it. Clearly, I clicked the wrong number and I am, unfortunately 49 years old and my son is definitely 24.
Thanks for asking though
lankyguy10 – you are absolutely right, there are loads of websites offering ‘big size shoes’. They are predominantly formal shoes however which is great if that’s what you wear.
Again, you are right in assuming there are several specialising in skate shoes. Whilst doing our research and as my son can testify, these websites are very often out of stock and have very limited choice. I appreciate you don’t wear the brands we offer, but if you were to compare the sites with ours, you would see what I mean.
Many thanks for your comment
sjaumst – not sure what to make of your comment so best not to respond in a similar way. You have a fair point however but we can but try.
Hello Graham, thank you for responding to my inquiry.Don’t say it’s “unfortunate” to be 49….As I crested that hill…and am currently tumbling down the painful thorn filled rocky side…that is 50.Hahaha. The only reason I mentioned it…is because we just get tired of all the “fakes” that are allegedly on the site. And sjaumst is right…we are having a world wide recession….so the best thing is not to even try.Don’t try to make life better at all!....Don’t do a single thing that might cause you and your family to be happy.Just sit in a hole and slowly cover yourselves up. I think that is the point he was trying to make.
no one knows my crippling depression masked in sarcasm better than dearest jeffy. ![]()
I’m 6’3” and I wear a sz 14-15 sneaker, I’ve never had a problem finding them because not many guys wear that size, plus they are usually marked down …
Personally I find there’s plenty of choice in UK14-15 shoes online, it’s just that the nicer styles are prohibitively expensive. I’ve been to a few of the specialist shops in the UK and Germany, and the 12-16 sizes never seem to be on sale, I suppose because they will have customers with those sizes in quite a bit, so why mark them down.
Jamie, that’s exactly the problem my son has had over the years and so we have concentrated on offering a wide range of shoes on our website. We have not increased the prices either as we feel it is very unfair on our customers. We are actually cheaper than the other websites.
We hav noticed that other websites seem to play safe and stock the generic styles that can be found more readily but even those are usually out of stock. We have sourced a wider range so that our more liberal footed brethren now have the beauty of choice.
I will still respect this site and not mention our website unless you contact us – it must be worth a look at least?
