Saw ‘The Expendables’ last night. It was horrific.

Barely a plot at all. Full of cliches. Crappy acting. Weak dialogue.

The massacre of people was completely inconsistent from shot to shot.

It couldn’t seem to settle on a tone it wanted to take.

The action scenes were too stupidly over the top, and barely even kept my interest because they were shot so badly.

What a waste of big names. This movie had potential, I went in without any kind of preconceived ideas.

I don’t watch a lot of Sly Stallone/Arnie films, so maybe I am the wrong person to ask, but the group of guys I saw it with were fans of similar films and all thought it was crap too.

We decided halfway through that it was a comedy, albeit a pretty poor comedy.

What was a comedy was reading the IMDB message board associated with it.

Two words … The American. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. How to throw $13 down the drain … Don’t make the same mistake; stay away from this movie.

I’ve got two nominees: The Brothers Grimm (it was VERY grim indeed) and Nicholas Cage’s remake of The Wicker Man. That was probably THE worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life. At the end of the movie we went to complain to the theater manager and she gave us our money back, her only words being ‘I know…I know’. Absolutely horrible…and I refuse to see another movie he’s in for the rest of my life. I will however watch ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ as it is one of the greatest films of all time. ;-)
