Do any other countries besides Australia do Movember?
It is a charity event where guys (and hirsute girls) grow out their facial hair to raise money for men’s charities. The main charities here that it supports are Beyondblue (a charity to help fight depression) and The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
I’m participating this year, and have a nice ginger mo’ and goatee going on. I may post some pictures up on the donation page and link it here.
Anyone else participating?
Just saw the global leaderboard, obviously there are plenty of other countries participating. And Australia is coming second behind Canada! That’s a pretty solid effort for us considering our population.
Those darn Canadians!!! I’m from Australia too and doing Movember, just gotten through that awful itchy phase :S. How’s your mo going jm88?
I kinda cheated and was stubbly before November 1st. I only just decided to do it the other day.
Also, free Grill’d!!!
We have No Shave November, but as far as I know it’s just a “do the manly thing” thing over here.
Closest thing we do in USA is people donating their hair for cancer patients.
That’s why we have both, you either go moustache route or beard route
Moustache is more fun. I currently have mine shaped into handlebars.
