Wow! I can’t fathom that. I am 5’11 with tiny feet and to think that a big kid at 14 years old, same height but with size 19 feet. UNBELIEVABLE!! That would be a great sight! Crazy!
I’ve seen a 13-year-old who was 6’3+ once….^^
My former boss was 6’7. He was Dutch, apparently the average height in the Netherlands is around 6 feet tall. The funniest part was that one of my coworkers was a 5’1 girl, seeing her stand next to my boss was all kinds of hilarious.
I think being a tall guy is fine; but as a girl people tend to stare at you really strangely. I’m 6ft1; yeah I know there are taller girls but just not in my area plus I’m only 17. Girls tend to just make a joke about it; and thats fine, just normal conversation after that. Guys on the other hand who are shorter than me get really intimidated and will try and avoid me; either that or they walk past trying to sus out my height! It’s all good though, my bf is 6ft5 so at least I don’t look to tall beside him. Funniest tall moment was when an American tourist of about five foot nothing came over to us and asked if he could take a photo because we were tall and also if only I had a pound for every stranger that has walked up to me on the street just to tell me I’m tall… I am aware of this people! ![]()
I’m 5’9” and 280 pounds; height-wise we’re talking average but for you tallies I must be “oh, a little guy, only 5’9” but for the shorter ones you’d prob think I’m a tall one. Nope, strictly average heightwise but I do wish I could be smaller—yet I get a turn on when I stand next to a small guy for two reasons 1) wish I could be that small and 2) getting a charge out of being taller.
A couple guys at work are about 5’2”, 5’3” and the tips of their heads are level with my nose. I sometimes walk next to them to note the size difference, then feel a bit guilty for doing so or for staring. If you check out stuff like the dwarfism yahoo group or the Dwarf News facebook group you’ll see that shorter people are upset when they’re stared at; when people “stalk them” with a video phone, etc. I’m sure this happens to tall folk too, though.
For me I get a kick out of smaller people, even slightly small—feet barely touch floor when they sit at a table, things like light switches are higher up for them. Once at a drug store
a 4’9” guy ahead of me pointed out to me the little machine that dispenses your coin change: “don’t forget your change over there”.
I thanked him and smiled noting the size difference—again, partly got a kick out of being taller and partly wish I could be him. I’m sure if you talked to someone on the short side and told them “I’d love to be small like you” they’d think you were nuts.
Sometimes I see a guy well over 6 ft, my eyes level with their shoulders, and I stand next to them and maybe imagine I’m smaller.
Hey, I’m 4’10” now and they’re only average sized…
Weight wise some people are less than 100 pounds—maybe only about 5 ft tall (guys) but 87, 90 pounds. I get a kick out of the thought of weight being only in 2 digits.
im 6f3 and if i see somone taller than me, not often actually, i notice STRAIGHT away, but cuz of what hassle i get i never stare and wouldnt dream of going up to them to talk about it! they might be fine with it or they might be anoyed like i am when people do it to me, if in a social situation then i would maybe say somthing but more of a compare notes type way, altho years back did have a funny thing with a guy who was idunno like 6f7 or somthing saying VERY similar stuff than normal small people say and i was there thinking ‘wtff you should know better’ LOL and i dont care what anyone says tall girls have it harder than tall guys, jus my opinion ofc
Well…I see all the time people taller than me, but it’s not really exciting. I did not see a huge tall guy so I have no idea about what I am going to do, but I think that I will notice him and nothing else.I think that it’s not usually to see a really tall guy, but not for this reason we can make him/her to feel awkward. My opinion! ![]()
