I do a Facebook cleaning annually. I don’t want my life broadcasted to a bunch of strangers.

Facebook can be a force for good if used for all the right reasons, but there are those who exploit it for their own ends. I understand where thenewnick is coming from; he values his privacy and I value my own. I’m just sticking to this site.

I am on facebook. But I also value my privacy. I don’t post my real name or birthdate for starts. And I select individuals that receive any further information I may post. Such as pics or status. So far, has proven to be very effective.

I think you can keep your privacy if you know well how to filter people and grant access as you can do here. I use Facebook to stay in touch with people I’ve met in my life and people I trust in.
