Yep, it is the first Friday of June, and that time of year in the US to honor the almighty doughnut.
Random fun fact:
The tradition of the holiday actually started in 1938 at a fundraiser in Chicago for the Salvation Army. It was created in order to help out the needy during the great depression and to honor female members who helped provide comfort to soldiers on the front lines during WW1 by serving such confections.
So, go enjoy some gluttony in the form of sugar coated fried dough. It is your duty as an American :-P.
P.S. Some national chains actually honor the holiday by giving one free donut away to patrons.
