I’m 6’1”, so tall for me starts at 6’3”, and really tall at 6’7”. The latter height is when I have to start looking up at people from below their necks. 
I always used to be the tallest in my class growing up, so I still have to get used to not seeing a face when I look straight ahead.
It is all relative. But for me, I find someone tall if they are actually taller than me.
i would say 6’6. I am 5’9 and being chest high would make me feel small. Maybe coming up to a person’s shoulders.
I’m 5’10 but I have a lot of tall friends—so for me tall starts at about 6’6 and giant would depend more on physical size than height. A guy whose 6’10 and 350 could qualify (although I have several friends 6’9 plus who I don’t think of as giants) although certainly anyone over 7 foot and 400 lbs would qualify. But someone 7’6 whose skinny wouldn’t be a giant to me. They’d just be super tall.
If I’m staring at a guy who’s 6ft7 I’d have to crane my neck to look up at him.
To be really tall, I would have to be aware that I am looking up at the person. Since I am 5’11” I would need to be around people of various different heights to pick that starting size. As for someone being a giant, I would want to feel like I was a child in coparison. That would mean he would need to be incredibly tall. Robert Wadlow, the tallest man to have ever lived at 8’11” I would say is gigantic!
oh and someone giant to me i reckon at least 6ft 11 or over 
which is not really something you see, I dont think i’ve ever seen anyone recently to be taller than myself LOL XD, dont really pay much attention mind
