Friends and Foes

After being busy with work the last few weeks, my development of the site has fallen behind where I would like it to be. However, I’m planning to refine a few features over the next few days.

The first main change is in the private messaging and friendship settings. Here is a quick summary:

> From now on, members under 18 years of age can only be messaged by people they have added to their friendlist.

> The send message page has been updated so that you can type in any username, rather than just select one of your friends.

> Friend requests have been refined so that one user cannot send you a request while another request from them is still pending.

> the biggest update is the foe list. From a user’s profile you can add them to your foe list, just like you could add them to your friend list. Foes cannot send you private messages or friend requests. They won’t be blocked from messaging you in the chatroom, but there is an ignore feature there for that.

Any instances of user harassment should be reported to me immediately. I cannot help prevent what I do not know about. All complaints are handled in confidence, and I can be reached through private message here or emailing admin@heightgroup.com

To clarify the foes list: foe lists will not be made available to others in the same way your friend list is.

However, if a foe tries to send you a message, they will receive notification that their message has been blocked by your foe list settings.
